The French manufacturer Citroen have released an image which shows a the possibility of DS SUV model. It is believed that Citroen will officially reveal the development DS model to the world at the Beijing Motor Show later this month.
Citroen are set to release the Cactus model in the UK at just £13,000 which is set to rival the success of the crossover models currently on sale. The new Citroen Cactus model has been tipped to be one of the best selling models of the year after revealing such an attractive model at such an attractive price.
The Citroen DS3 model has been one of the most successful models under the Citroen badge and there has been plans put in place to develop and extend the models under the DS range.
The DS SUV model would be the perfect option to take advantage of the market and the current uptrend in SUV purchases. The SUV market has been a particular market for a number of manufacturers, with Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche all achieving a considerable amount of success in the way of both sales and market share.
The Citroen DS X7 SUV model will be due to enter production towards the end of the year but may not be on sale until early 2015. The model is set to sit alongside the DS4 and the DS5 in the DS range with another model also rumoured to join the market.
Peugeot and Citroen have welcomed the news of the second generation of C1 and 107 models joining the market. The French manufacturers have been in a considerable amount of trouble following the demise of the European car market. However, the likes of the Cactus and the C1 are set to take Citroen back towards the top of the market. On the other hand, Peugeot have recently won the car of the year award for 2014 with the 308 model.
