How long does it take to repair an alloy wheel?

This is a difficult question to answer as it will depend on the type of wheel that you have and also how badly damaged your alloy wheel is.

There is no set time limit but on average we would advise allowing a couple of hours. This is because the repair technician will have to ...

1st Remove the alloy wheel

2nd Access any damage

3rd Action the repair

4th Make good any paint or finishes

5th Refit the alloy wheel

Please remember that for health and safety reasons the alloy wheel technician will need a safe space to work off-road, such as a driveway.

How should I look after my alloy wheel after a repair?

We would recommend that you do not wash or clean your alloy wheels for at least 5 days after any repair work has been done. After that, we would recommend that you try where possible to keep your alloy wheels clean and free from road debris.

What are the most common forms of alloy wheel damage?

Alloy wheels can easily become damaged with curb, pothole damage, or scuffs, however, we have been told that the most common form of damage is chipping to the wheel itself.

Why do I need to tell you about the damage within 30 days?

This is because the longer the damage is there left un treated the bigger the risk of water being able to penetrate and therefore the greater the risk that the damage could cause the onset of corrosion.

Can you cover any corrosion on my wheels?

No we can not cover the cost of any corrosion as this would normally involve having to shot-blast the whole wheel.
