Car manufacturers SEAT have joined forces with Spanish fashion label MANGO to create a special edition SEAT Mii model. The limited edition super mini was showcased earlier this year at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in March and aims to create a new identity for SEAT's version of the Skoda Citigo and Volkswagen Up!.

The SEAT Mii by MANGO details

Given the model's catwalk connections, the changes are primarily stylistic. Alongside the distinctive Mii by MANGO badging, customers will be offered a choice of two exclusive paint schemes, a 'Nude' finish with dark grey alloys or a metallic 'Deep Black' paired to silver wheels. Tinted windows, plus contrasting side trim details and door mirrors also help it stand out visually from the current top of the range Sport spec on which it's based.

MANGO has taken the opportunity to revise the Mii's interior, adding unique leather and perforated Alcantara upholstery, contrasting piping and stitching, as well as branded floor mats, door sills and keyfob.

Standard kit for the new SEAT is shared with Sport trim, meaning the Mii by MANGO gets remote central locking, electric windows, air conditioning and the Portable System Live infotainment system featuring satellite navigation, hands free Bluetooth connectivity and audio streaming.

Other SEAT changes

On top of this, SEAT has made improvements across the range, as the MANGO edition's launch also marks the introduction of ESC tyre pressure monitoring and Hill Hold Control as standard on all Mii trim levels. The company are also offering buyers of the new top spec model an added slice of exclusivity with a MANGO Style Pack. This pack includes a panoramic glass sunroof and front fog lights for £690.

Power for the models will remain unchanged, with the same 74 brake horse power three cylinder 1.0 litre engine currently offered in the Mii line up. This unit is fitted exclusively with the Mii's five speed manual gearbox and can accelerate from a standstill to 62mph in 13.2 seconds. It offers a 60.1mpg fuel economy and 108g/km of CO2 emissions. With that in mind we see this car as a strong potential rival for the likes of the Fiat 500.

The special edition SEAT Mii by MANGO is on sale now, although availability has yet to be confirmed and UK deliveries expected to take place in August. Prices for the new SEAT Mii by MANGO start from £10,995 for the entry level three door variant and rise to £11,345 for the range topping five door model.
