Ford have confirmed that the new Focus Ride model will be released in September. The Focus model is amongst the best selling vehicles once again this year and the US brand are hoping that the new variant will help to keep the model at the top. The Ford Focus is one of the mass manufacturer's biggest selling models of all time along side the likes of the Fiesta.

It has certainly proven to be a wise purchase for many car owners around the world and it has received many different variations over the years. So rightfully so, hopes are high for this brand new addition to the Focus line up this year. Can it live up to it's reputation and can it prove to be another fine addition to the range or will this be the vehicle that ends something ever so popular?

What makes the new Ford Focus Ride different?

We know of some key features that will come along with this model later this year in regards to the engine used and some of the car's overall performance figures, so we will make a start there. The engine used in this upcoming vehicle is a 1.5 litre, four cylinder, turbo and it is expected to produce around 148 brake horse power.

An overall top speed for the car has been stated to come in at somewhere around the 130 miles per hour area with an expected time of 8.5 seconds in which this car will make the zero to 62 miles per hour leap. As for the transmission system used a six speed manual, comes as standard with the upcoming Focus and it will be made available as a front wheel drive variant.

Some other key selling points and pieces of additional equipment that will come along with this car include the likes of air conditioning as standard a multi functioning steering wheel, electric windows and an eight inch touch screen for the car will also make their debut's. With that in mind we believe that the new Focus model could prove to be some healthy competition for other rival companies such as the likes of Vauxhall, Citroen and Toyota.
