The American manufacturer Ford have asserted themselves as one of the worlds finest car makers over the years with such additions to the line up as the Fiesta,the KA and of course the Focus. The Focus is one of the best additions to the range to date and has proven to be highly successful on the new and used car markets world wide. This week is the Goodwood festival of speed and the all new Focus ST model is all set to be revealed this week at the show.
Many rumours have circulated over the recent few months as to what this model will be able to do and what it will benefit from. Today we have some information regarding the engine and some performance figures for this particular model and new tweaks to the car that could help it rival other companies such as Vauxhall and Nissan.
What has made it into this particular model that will be officially revealed later this week? Well regarding the engine and some of it's rates, it is expected that the Focus ST will come with the addition of a 2.0 litre, Ecoboost petrol engine that will put out somewhere around the 247 brake horsepower mark. A new Tdci diesel engine is also expected to be introduced for the first time ever to a Focus machine which will make the 0 to 62 miles per hour sprint in a time of eight seconds flat. With 182 brake horse power being produced.
Some other changes and updates to the car that is expected also consist of brand new technology for the interior,styling tweaks,brand new tweaks to the chassis and an all new steering wheel mount is expected to make it's presence felt. We expect to know a lot more when the car is officially revealed from the Goodwood festival of speed later this week.
It is expected that this car will be available to purchase from this Summer here in Europe but no word yet sadly on a price area for the Ford Focus ST.
