The brand new features and your favourites from the Corsa predecessor

A few minor changes have been made to the car with one of the big noteworthy features being its engine line up. If you do love your previous Corsa model though, this addition is certainly worth thinking about. The dimensions of the car are exactly the same as its predecessor and the platform the vehicle runs on has also remained the same. Some brand new alterations made to the suspension system and interior of the car are specialities of next years model as is the brand new engine range to come along with the car.

Both petrol and diesel engines have been confirmed to come along with the Corsa for next year with a 1.2 litre,69 bhp developing entry level unit starting of the range. Both a turbo and non turbo variant of a 1.4 litre petrol engine are also up for grabs. A 1.3 CDTi diesel is also on offer as is an Ecoflex model which focus on better C02 emissions and fuel economy.

The big story as far as the new engine range is concerned though is the welcome addition of a brand new 1.0 litre, three cylinder unit which has been put in use in order to help the brand new city car addition take on other contenders currently on the market with the big opponent coming into play as the Ecoboost engine line up from American firm Ford. The new addition of the 1.0 litre unit is expected to be the biggest seller for the Vauxhall brand.

Take the engine and combine it with the standard fitting of a six speed manual transmission and we see a power deliverance from the car come in at 113 brake horse power overall. A top speed of 121 miles per hour has been confirmed for this variant of the front wheel drive vehicle and in order to make it to this limitation we see a sprint time from a standing start to 62 miles per hour achieved in 10.3 seconds.

There are other changes made to the car in regards to equipment and features that could help it maintain a high profile especially with vehicles such as the Polo from Volkswagen recently receiving added features too. The Excite addition of the new Corsa is the highest trim level made available for the car and it receives some great goodies such as a seven inch colour touch screen,Bluetooth, heated seating, automatic lights, a leather steering wheel and a built in sat nav system which has been confirmed to be controlled by the use of your mobile phone.
