New Renault Clio model
The best selling and most recognisable Renault model, the Clio, is about to have a special edition version released on the car market. At the Geneva Motor Show today, Renault revealed the new look special edition Clio model.
The new special edition model will take on the name of Monaco GP which is referring to the best circuit on the Formula 1 calendar. The Monaco GP name has been put on previous models in the Renault range. The Laguna Coupe, Megane Coupe and the Megane RS have all had the Monaco GP name added to the model.
The model on show took on the exclusive pearlescent white paint work along with a black roof. The colours of Black and Grey flow through the interior on the Clio model. The engine remains unchanged on the Renault Clio model and the same 2.0 litre 197bhp engine is fitted as standard.
Renault have recently struggled to match the sales figures achieved by the budget brand at Renault, Dacia. In the year of 2012, the Dacia brand came to power as it beat the parent brand Renault in the top European market of Germany.
The budget brand Dacia seemed to have hit the jackpot as the European Economy took a turn for the worst and motorists looked for the best deal on new cars. The Dacia brand has since joined the UK car market and amounted sales figures of over 10,000 in the first nine months.
The Renault Clio itself has struggled to cope with the developments within rivals Ford and Vauxhall. Within the UK car market, two supermini models in particular have been dominating the UK Car market. The Vauxhall Corsa and the Ford Fiesta models have featured in the top ten best selling models for over 12 consecutive months in the UK, with the Clio model struggling to break into the top ten.
