A new Gap Insurance underwriter for Shortfall.co.uk

The 5th July 2022 brings a new underwriter for one of the UK's longest established independent Gap Insurance providers, Shortfall.co.uk.

From today, a new range of Gap Insurance products is available on Shortfall.co.uk underwritten by Novus Underwriting Ltd in the UK, on behalf of Helvetia Schweizerische Versicherungsgesellschaft in Liechtenstein AG.

We understand that Helvetia Schweizerische Versicherungsgesellschaft in Liechtenstein AG is a bit of a mouthful, so we shall call them Helvetia to make like a little easier!

Helvetia is an insurance group active worldwide, but headquartered in St Gallen in Switzerland. Founded in 1856, the Group employs around 12,000 people globally. 

The Helvetia Group has around 5 million customers globally and carries an 'A' credit rating with the leading credit reference agencies.

In other words, the Gap Insurance products on Shortfall.co.uk are underwritten by a well-known, financially strong insurance underwriter.

Gap Insurance products are available for vehicles up to £150,000 and for a maximum of 4 years of cover.

Since Shortfall.co.uk was launched in 2013, we have offered Gap Insurance products by globally recognised insurers like MAPFRE and Ageas. The new arrangement with Helvetia continues the tradition of 'heavyweight' underwriting.

Shortfall.co.uk will be looking to add more complimentary produdcts such as tyre, alloy wheel and cosmetic bodywork insurance products in the coming months.
