Are you looking for a decent people carrier vehicle and don't mind the added wait then Mercedes could have just the thing for you. This brand new addition set to make its way to Britain in April of next year comes to you in the manner of the brand new Vito Tourer. It has been confirmed by the brand behind it that the vehicle is an eight seater model with some steady power and good looks.
The firm are yet to confirmed the specifications of the Vito tourer regarding equipment but we do know of some of the engines that are set to go on offer with this model and estimated performance rates. People carriers are a good seller in the United Kingdom and the Citroen brand have demonstrated this in the past by sales on the C4 Picasso. Does the Vito Tourer have the potential to be just as big when it is to be launched next year?.
So regarding the engine range and what kind of performance output you can expect to receive from the Vito Tourer, we see that the vehicle has been confirmed to come along from launch with the additions of a 1.6 litre diesel unit and your alternative option will come along in the manner of the a 2,2 litre, twin turbo model. The diesel variant will come with a front wheel drive platform but will have power outputs set at either 87or 113bhp the choice is yours at the time of purchase. However if you decide that you prefer the 2.2 litre models, these are available in a rear wheel drive format and have three power outputs which include 134,161 or 188 brake horse power. A six speed, manual gearbox also comes along with the whole range as standard.
The vehicle can be viewed as either a people carrier or a van as the sheer amount of space to come along with the Vito makes great for both. So with that in mind, we see the Vito Tourer having a lot of competitors when it does arrive next year and some of the vehicles that come to mind in terms of this are the likes of the Ford Transit and the Peugeot Tepee.
The prices are yet to be confirmed for the Mercedes Vito Tourer, but we do expect that when the vehicle does go on sale from April of next year, price ranges will begin from around the £30,000 area.
