In some news today regarding the Vauxhall brand,it has been officially confirmed by the brand that their big selling city car which was made available back in 1963 and produced until 1979 the Viva is officially all set to return to the United Kingdom and other parts of the world too. The Viva at that point in time was one of the best selling city cars to go on offer on European markets and the mass manufacturer are hoping for much of the same when this brand new version of the car officially goes on sale.

Not a lot of information regarding the vehicle has been confirmed by the brand as of yet and the chances of seeing this car next month at the Paris motor show are quite slim. It is expected that the first time we will see this vehicle revealed to the public will be next March live from the Geneva motor show.

What can we expect from the new Vauxhall Viva at this point in time?

As we said previously, not a lot of information has currently been confirmed regarding the Vauxhall Viva and a lot about the car is entirely speculation at this point in time. The brand have however confirmed that interior space and comfort are two big selling points to come along with the Viva,a revamped cabin and a softer suspension system compared to that of other additions to the line up will also receive place of pride in the new Viva. The car will share a lot of features from the Spark model from Chevrolet but more on this is yet to be revealed by Vauxhall. The original line up of Viva vehicles were all produced in the brands Ellesmere Port plant and we believe that this will be the case again for the brand new Viva.

Over 100,000 units of the Viva were designed in the companies Ellesmere Port plant and there is a chance that around the same figure or perhaps more will be produced this time around. The speculation regarding an engine range to come along with car is expected to be the fitting of a 1.0 litre, three cylinder engine. Power and performance rates are currently unknown for this engine line up in the Viva but we expect to hear more on this situation over the course of the upcoming few months.

The Viva being one of the finest selling city cars in history when it is relaunched could very well put the city car sector notice and bring in a top flight source of competition for other manufacturers around the world right now who are big in the city car sector. Some of these manufacturers include the likes of Ford with the Fiesta,Renault with the Clio and of course the big selling Citroen DS3.

How much will the Vauxhall Viva be put on sale for?

Firstly we are unsure of a launch date for the brand new version of the Viva but the car is expected to be displayed next March live from the Geneva motor show. We expect to hear more on a release date then or possibly even before. It has also been confirmed that the car will go on sale for a cost of around £7,000.
