Next week marks the beginning of the Los Angeles motor show and each year is a number one destination for car fans from all around the globe. Each year the event draws thousands of fans from all areas of the world for their first glimpse at brand new vehicles from manufacturers and their first looks at some brand new technology that is being included for models. The LA motor show was first held twenty nine years ago in 1985 and has consecutively taken place each year since this time. It is each year one of the most anticipated shows of the year and 2014 is proving to be no different. Today we are taking a look into some of the biggest vehicles that will go on display from the event this year.

So first off we will begin with a look into the Porsche 911 GTS. The 911 is one of the German brands biggest sellers of all time and it has certainly proven to be a key ingredient into the success of the brand over the years. The firm are now though set to reveal a brand new GTS version of the model next week. The 3.8 litre engine found in the Carrera will be carried over to the GTS Carrera 911 but will now see a 30bhp improvement on the engine bringing the total to an output of 430bhp. 186 mph is now achieved for a top speed and the popular sports chrono trim now comes with the 911 Carrera as standard.

Active suspension management dampers and a lowered ride height are as standard. The car also receives some changes to the exterior styling with some of the key highlights coming in as 20 inch alloy wheels,a larger spoiler and chrome tail pipes. Bi xenon headlights and a new air intake grille are key players also. Alcantara trims, leather sports seating and a built in sat nav system are just some of the new features to come fitted inside the vehicle. The newly updated 911 Carrera can be ordered now and will come in with a purchase price of £91,098.

The Audi A9 concept

The A9 concept model is a vehicle that has been hotly anticipated for a number of months and just a number of weeks back, the Audi brand confirmed that the vehicle will make its way to the LA motor show in the form of a concept vehicle. There is no confirmation that this vehicle will go on sale in the future as a production vehicle but from what we know so far, the car is looking very special. Details on the specifications to come along with the A9 concept model are somewhat quiet right now but more will be confirmed for the model next week in Los Angeles.

The BMW X5m and X6m

Two power orientated versions of both the BMW X5 and X6 are set to be debuted in LA next week ahead of an on sale date in April next year. Both models are confirmed to have tweaks made to the overall power and performance that both vehicles deliver on. A 4.4 litre, twin turbo V8 engine has been confirmed for both vehicles and 567bhp and 750NM of torque will also be delivered from these new engines. This means that a sprint from 0 to 62 miles per hour would be achieved by the car in just 4.2 seconds overall. Prices for the X5M variant will begin from £90,170 whereas the newer X6M will sell from £93,070.
