The end of this month will mark the arrival of this years Los Angeles motor show. Porsche are a sports car brand that have made the headlines many times since they were founded in 1931 in Stuttgart Germany and at this years LA motor show the brand may be all set to make the headlines again. This time though it will not be via a sports car per say but via one of the German companies biggest selling family vehicles which makes its way to you in the form of the Cayenne. The Cayenne has been in production since 2002 and on sale since 2004.

There have been only two generations of the car go on sale over the course of the past ten years with the second generation being the new hybrid model. Now though the brand are introducing a brand new GTS version of the car which is more power orientated and also receives some brand new fittings.

What changes are Porsche to reveal in Los Angeles?

So in regards to some of these brand new changes that will find their place in the GTS this year, we take a look to the fittings of new engines and performance tweaks, new interior features and exterior work has also been done too.

With our first look into the power source that can be found under the bonnet of the Cayenne GTS, we see that the German firm will include a 3.6 litre, Bi-turbo V6 engine which produces 434 brake horse power in total which is a 20bhp upgrade on top of the standard output from the Cayenne. 600NM of torque will also now be delivered upon by the vehicle. Power is demonstrated mainly by the time in which it takes the GTS to make the leap from 0 to 62 miles per hour which has now been confirmed to occur in just 5.2 seconds.

Now looking into some of the other features technical wise, Porsche have announced some changes which include the following: a sports exhaust system, adaptive dampers, large brakes,Black 20 inch alloy wheels, bigger wheel arches and red brake callipers are now thrown into the mix too. Vehicles such as the Range Rover Sport and the BMW X5 have proven to be top contenders when it comes to bringing the fight to the Porsche Cayenne in the past and with BMW revealing the new X5M in LA also this may be the vehicle that Porsche need to up their game.
