New BMW M4 Convertible
The German mass market manufacturer, BMW, are set to release both a new M3 and M4 into the car market worldwide. BMW last year released what was said to be the most eagerly anticipated production model in automotive history.
The BMW i-3 and the BMW i-8 model stole a large number of headlines in the automotive industry last year, as it was rumoured that the total development and research costs of an electric vehicle at BMW, was in the region of £2 Billion.
The new M3 and M4 models are once again set to steal the headlines and hopefully fight off competition coming from the Mercedes and Audi manufacturers. The M4 model has recently been revealed and is set to join the UK Car Market and be available in showrooms by the summer.
However, we are yet to see any official revealing of the M4 convertible as of yet. On the other hand, a number of images have been leaked on to the internet which seem to show the new M4 convertible model during testing in the snowy conditions.
The model is heavily disguised on the images, but the shape and exterior of the model is undeniably a BMW. The model in the images, seem to feature a folding hard top model which may mean an additional weight of 230kg compared to that of the standard M4 Coupe model set for the market in the summer.
The convertible model will feature the twin turbocharged six cylinder 3.0 litre engine model which is more than capable of producing 425 bhp. In the images shown online, the model retains the very impressive rear end as seen on the M4 Coupe model.
The German luxury car manufacturer are yet to release an official date or price for the new convertible, but it is likely to be above the current M4 Coupe price of £56,635. The increase could be as much as the current BMW 4 series increase for the convertible which is in the region 4.2k.
