New Jaguar XFR

New Jaguar XFR

The most practical model in the Jaguar range is said to be the XFR model and the British based brand is set to update the practical model for a new S Sportbrake version. Jaguar has kept the new Sportbrake model very quiet but the model is set to get the go ahead.

The Jaguar brand has been one of the best brands for marketing over the past 12 months or so, as the brand has made its way in to a number of emerging markets. It is believed that the successful Range Rover Evoque model has been the key to enter such markets.

Rivals Aston Martin, have highlighted the Jaguar Land Rover brand as being the stand out performers in terms of marketing techniques. The Aston brand also stated that the main issue which has held them back over the past 12 months is marketing and a leaf should have been taken from Jaguar.

The new XFR Sportbrake model will be wearing the RS badge on the front grille as well as having a much deeper front bumper than that of the standard model. The model will also have a number of exterior changes to that of the standard saloon model which will include the chunky side skirts as well as the lack of a rear wing on the model.

It is believed that the new Jaguar model will be making its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week. The price is likely to be in the region of the main competitor in the form of the Mercedes E63 AMG which is set to start at £80,000.

It is very hard to assume performance figures on new models after truly having no idea what the official figures will be. However, what we can easily assume is that the model will have the ability to go up and above a top speed of 180 mph and reach 0-60 in a time in the region of 4.6 seconds.
