The new Honda Jazz arrives in Switzerland

We have already covered some of the biggest and best car reveals from the Geneva Motor Show 2015 and it is only the second day of the big event. We have previously seen the new Civic Type R revealed by the Honda brand but today the company have taken to the stage underneath the bright lights once more to give us our first glimpse of the brand new Jazz. The new model has been revealed carrying a host of brand new updates for the first time before it makes its way to you local showroom this Summer. Some of the big differences compared to this Jazz and its predecessor we see some new styling brought into play,a whole range of new safety equipment and the vehicle now comes with a lot more interior space than ever before. As one of the companies leading hatchbacks, the Jazz has continued to be a consecutive good seller for the company and with some big changes finding its way into the new model, we see no reason as to why it cant prove to do much of the same once more.

What did Honda reveal about the new Jazz?

So now checking out the big changes that do find a place in the new model, Honda have firstly confirmed that a brand new engine will now be located underneath the bonnet. The brand new setup will consist of a petrol unit in the form of a V-TEC which will carry 1.3 litres and will give out 102 brake horse power. As standard a manual six speed gearbox is dished out with the car but buyers are also to be faced with the option of an automatic setup as an optional extra. Another big feature is the generous safety equipment that Honda are dishing out across the line up. This time around the brand have included some new gadgets such as the likes of a lane departure warning system, active city braking, a traffic sign recognition system and collision warning. All of which are all offered as standard with entry level models.

Some changes interior and exterior wise include reshaped body design,a black front grille and the windscreen has also been raised compared to past models in the line up. New chrome finishes and materials of a higher standard compared to past models also complete the interior cabin. The fun doesn't stop there though as the new Jazz is gadgets galore. Honda very generously give away a five inch display screen with entry level trims but if you opt into a higher level trim you can expect to see this screen grow in size by two inches. Real time traffic updates, internet radio services and Android smartphone compatibility are all offered with the new model.

When does the new Jazz become available?

The news has been delivered that this new model will become available from the Summer time of this year but a price to come along with the car has not been revealed as of yet. Expect to learn more about the costing of the car and its trim levels closer to the time of launch.
