New Nissan X Trail
At the Geneva Motor Show today the Japanese brand, Nissan, revealed a new engine line up for the new Nissan X Trail. The Nissan X Trail previously turned up at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2013.
The model has received a completely new look which seems to have been inspired by the very popular and top of the range Qashqai and Juke models. The Nissan brand has become one of the best selling brands of the past two years as a host of new models dominate the market.
The likes of the Nissan Leaf, Qashqai and Juke models have all been dominating certain areas of the UK car market over the past few months. The crossover and electric car markets are set to receive more competition than ever this year as the likes of BMW, Mercedes and Volkswagen all join the market.
The new Nissan X Trail as well as a updated Juke and Qashqai model should help the Nissan brand keep hold of market share in the selective markets. The X Trail model will go up against the new Volkswagen T Roc model which was also on show at the Geneva Motor Show.
The X Trail will be fitted with the 1.6 litre dCi turbo diesel engine which offers 128bhp and will also be available with the two wheel and four wheel drive option. It has also been confirmed that the Nissan brand will also be offering a 161 bhp turbo charged petrol engine on the model as an option in 2015.
The X Trail model will take on three of the most popular and well known trim levels at Nissan such as the Visia, Acenta and the Tekna. All models will have a number of features fitted as standard with the X Trail having the air conditioning, alloy wheels and six airbags fitted. Other features such as cruise control, bluetooth, and a speed limiter will also be fitted on the model.
