A new DS from Citroen Peugeot-Hyundai i30 prices-RenaultSport Trophy in Geneva

Renault have teased a brand new Trophy model that is set to make its debut next week from the Geneva Motor Show. Renault have released a new teaser image which shows an up close shot of an alloy wheel design with the RenaultSport RS logo in the middle of the wheel. With the #Trophy sign also included. As you can imagine from a teaser image, not a lot of information was revealed on what will be the next RenaultSport addition but there is some speculation currently making the rounds which shows that this new model could very well be based on the Clio RS model. We all know from past history, that these particular vehicles are aimed at being more powerful and more sporty than standard hatchback vehicles from Renault so we would expect that the engine would be receiving some fine tuning in order for an increase on power if it is to be taken from the Clio. For now though, we are just one week away from the big Geneva event so we will have to wait and see what the French brand has up their sleeve with this new model.

Peugeot Citroen set to produce a new DS vehicle

DS vehicles have certainly been making the rounds over the course of the past few weeks following the parting of ways of DS and Citroen. We have heard about DS debuting their brand new DS only model but now we have news coming in from Citroen Peugeot who have today announced that they are all set to begin the development of a brand new DS5 vehicle which will become a new addition to the firms B segment range. The news has been announced that production of this new car will be done close to Paris France and the new DS5 will run on the all new EMP1 driving platform. Information remains scarce on the new car for now and Peugeot Citroen are yet to reveal a time scale for a launch or other technical information. As soon as we hear of any more developments in this on going story, we will keep you informed.

Hyundai i30 prices are announced

Next week in Geneva Switzerland, Hyundai are another popular manufacturer who will be represented at the big motoring event. They will be showing off their all new i30 range before it goes on sale later into the course of the same month of March. Today though the Korean firm have revealed the full price list to come along with the brand new models. The company today announced that prices will be getting underway from £15,195 for the entry level range. These prices will then rise upwards to a total figure of £22,495 for the range topping edition. Hyundai have incorporated some big changes into the new i30 which sees the likes of a petrol engine carrying 1.4 litres that will also deliver 98 brake horse power. A Blue drive diesel model will also be up for grabs sending power out of 108bhp. The range topping petrol though carries 1.6 litres and also comes completely turbocharged. Making history for the i30 range will also be a seven speed dual clutch transmission which will only be offered as an optional extra.

Multiple trim levels have however been announced which see some wonderful pieces of kit brought into play. Bluetooth connectivity and a keyless entry system are just two of the features offered on entry levels. SE gives a set of sixteen inch alloys, parking sensors, cruise control and a leather steering wheel. Go for the mid range SE NAV and a built in sat nav system and a rear view camera will also be included. The Premium however offers the most kit coming with heated leather seating and the steering wheel is also heated. The alloy wheels have grown by an inch now measuring seventeen inches and dual zone climate control also helps the Premium trim to stand out a lot more over predecessors.

The best option for the car however is of course the turbo. Bringing in LED rear lights,a sat nav, sports suspension and red stitching for the leather steering wheel. With so many offerings on the cards for the new i30 range, it would come as no surprise to us if the i30 is named Hyundai's best selling vehicle at the end of this year.
