Land Rover Discovery Sport

Land Rover are set to release the latest Discovery Sport at the end of the year. Last year, Land Rover announced that they would be making a number of changes to the current range line up. The firm confirmed rumours of there no longer being a Freelander range and instead the model would join the Discovery.

This week a number of images have been released online which seem to show the latest Discovery Sport development. The Discovery Sport model at Land Rover is rumoured to be joining the UK and other car markets as early as the end of the year.

Land Rover only confirmed that the Discovery Sport name would be used on the model at the recent New York Motor Show. The New York Motor Show has been a very successful stomping ground for a number of new models making their name under the Land Rover badge.

Last year, the Land Rover brand dominated headlines as it looked to release the latest Range Rover Sport model. The Sport model has since gone on to be one of the best selling models under the Range Rover name. Since then, the firm have made a number of successful appearances at the Frankfurt Motor Show and other motor shows.

Jaguar successfully unveiled the XE model along with the Baby Jaguar SUV. Both models created a ripple within the market as other manufacturers looked at the developments as a possible blueprint to success. Since then the XE model has progressed through various production stage and released very impressive fuel efficiency figures.

The Baby Jaguar SUV has inspired other manufacturers such as Aston Martin and Bentley have all announced plans to build a rival SUV model. The new Discovery Sport model is said to be the beginning of the new look Discovery range. Land Rover insist that a host of models will join the range following the release of the Sport model.
