Next Gen Vauxhall Astra
It has been announced recently that the Vauxhall brand posted another loss for the year of 2013. However, the Vauxhall firm remain to be one of the best selling brands in Europe and in the top two best selling brands within the UK.
The new Astra model is set to be produced during the year of 2015 and is set to enter the market in 2016. Within that year, Vauxhall have revealed that the expect the brand as a whole to break even and beat the market share achieved by the Ford brand within the UK.
Vauxhall owners General Motors have also recently announced that the Chevrolet brand is set to be removed from the European car market by the end of 2015. It is believed that the Astra model will take on a whole new look and it is believed that the next generation Astra model will be based on the previous Monza concept that was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2013.
According to a number of statements, the Monza concept is set to be the face of all things Vauxhall in the future with the Astra being the first model to take on the new look. Vauxhall seem to be following in the footsteps of the Audi brand and plan on building models with an overarching design similar to that seen on the TT model at Audi.
The idea for General Motors is to turn the Vauxhall brand into one of the most luxury and sophisticated brands on the market rather than targeting one of the most congested car markets today.
It is also believed that the Astra model will take on the look of the latest Adam model in terms of the look and features of the front grille on the model. Vauxhall have recently stole the majority of headlines following the Geneva Motor Show and the revealing of the Adam Rocks concept.
