Volkswagen's new pocket rocket Golf

Volkswagen have taken the brave step of showing the New Golf R just ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show.

It typical Volkswagen pushing for perfection form they taken the model almost to the limits with a massive 296 BHp 2.0 TSi engine. 

This means that the VW pocket rocket will be able to reach 0-62 milers per hour in under 5 seconds.

The maximum speed has  been limited to 155 miles per hour and will feature the ever popular Volkswagen groups 4 Motion permanent four wheel drive.

What what else is new in the new VW?

The car has been lowered  by 5mm in comparison to the current Golf GTI models and drivers will be given more choice in how their vehicle performs. they will be able to chose from different modes of driving from the Standard mode to Comfort, Eco, Sport and even race. The more advanced motorist will also be able to personally adjust the some of the vehicles key features with the Individual mode.

The design has shows the Volkswagen's designers flare with twin exhausts, modified front and rear bumpers, the car will come with 18-inch wheels as standard with a 19" available as a factory fitted option.
