A facelift for the Audi A1 now on sale

Audi have recently made some all new changes to their A1 model to keep the range refreshed and still appealing to a host of customers around the world. The A1 is one of the biggest vehicles in the supermini segment that the German brand have on offer. The vehicle began as a concept design in 2007 and 2008 and it was then followed up by production and a grand launch in 2010. Over the years it has established itself as a popular alternative to the likes of the Golf from the VW group and the Ford Focus. So it would only seem fair that Audi maintain a fresh appeal on the car to their customers and that is exactly where the facelifted A1 comes into play.

Refreshments to make the A1 even more appealing

Audi have added a 1.4 litre, TFSI engine into the mix as the higher option and the entry level unit consists of a one litre three cylinder setup. It is expected though that the 1.4 unit is to be the bigger seller in Europe. This engine comes fully turbocharged with 148 brake horse power developed. Pair it up with the manual six speed transmission, the revised A1 is capable of hitting out at 134 miles per hour. The car comes kitted out with some of the top of the range equipment but is the S line higher spec models where the true potential rests. With this option you can expect to find Xenon headlight technology, leather seating, seventeen inch alloy wheels and a new sports suspension system aswell. These are just some of our personal highlights for the new A1.

There are three trim levels in total which consist of Sport,S Line and the entry level SE. All offer different amounts of equipment and updates. A technology pack has also been announced across the range for all trim levels which adds an updated satellite navigation system controlled via the internet. An optional comfort pack also adds cruise control, parking sensors, automatic headlights and automatic windscreen wipers too.

For what price can you own the revised Audi A1?

Prices get underway at £14,315 for the entry level SE model where as if you want to invest into the top spec model, a cost of £19,480 comes along with the car and added gadgets. The new facelifted A1 is available to purchase and can be driven away from your local Audi showroom today.
