Ford Focus RS on the way to the UK
Ford have released a number of images which seem to suggest the return of the Focus RS model. The US brand are set to release the new face lifted Focus later on this year and a new RS model would be a welcome addition to the new range of models.
The images seem to display the updated Focus model making the change from being the best selling family hatchback, to one of the fastest front wheel drive models in the market. The Ford brand has been one of the best selling brands in the UK car market.
The Ford brand has dominated the UK Car Market with both the Fiesta and the Focus models. The Fiesta has maintained its position at the top of the market in the first four months of this year and is expected to remain at the top of the charts for the remainder of May.
However, major rivals within the UK, Vauxhall, have announced plans to release the next generation Corsa model towards the end of the year. The Vauxhall Corsa model is expected to be released in the UK with an engine that will rival that of the Ford Fiesta.
Vauxhall has recently revealed a new 1.0 litre engine under the bonnet of the recent Adam Rocks model at the Geneva Motor Show in March of this year. However, it is expected that the 1.0 litre engine will be fitted on to the Corsa model to rival the likes of the Fiesta in the UK Car Market.
The new Focus ST model is set to arrive in the Summer and is expected to make its full debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed which is towards the end of next month. The new Focus RS model will have as much as 350bhp at its exposure coming from the 2.3 litre four cylinder Eco Boost engine.
