Skoda launches a brand new special edition Yeti


The Skoda Yeti is without a doubt one of the very best SUV models to be offered around the world right now. The SUV market has seen a huge increase over the years with companies such as Nissan offering vehicles like the Qashqai and the Juke. Skoda stepped up competition for the sector with Yeti model which was first introduced world wide back in 2009 when the vehicle was revealed at the Geneva motor show. A total of three different trim levels have been offered with the Yeti over the years which sees additional pieces of kit come along with the car.

 

For the current Yeti model there is a total of five engine ranges on offer and a total of three transmission systems have been made available for the car over the years. So what brand new features find their way into the Laurin & Klement Yeti model that should grab your attention? Well firstly we see that this new Yeti comes fully fitted with the welcome additions of an all wheel drive system,a DSG gearbox, dual zone air conditioning, a built in sat nav system and a fully leather interior also comes along as part of the package.

 

Power and performance wise for the new Yeti, we see that the Czech Republican brand have included the standard fitting of a 2.0 litre,four cylinder,turbo diesel engine a six speed DSG transmission system combined with the engine also sees a power development of 168 brake horse power also. Overall we see 122 miles per hour come in at the top speed with leap from 0 to 62 miles per hour being achieved in a time of just 8.6 seconds.

 

Over the years that the Yeti has been made available on our roads, we have seen this particular vehicle lock horns with the likes of the Rav 4 from the Toyota brand and the Kia Sorento. Kit and technology wise, we see the Yeti L&K continuing to maintain this steady source of competitiveness with both of these cars but it could also open doors for a new set of rivals from manufacturers all around the world.

In terms of the price tag that Skoda have put on the Yeti Laurin & Klement, a standard price of £27,840 comes along with the car however, if you want every piece of technology and kit that comes along with the vehicle you're looking at cost of £30,040.
