The annual Detroit Motor show gets underway from Monday next week and we find it very fitting that the event is held in a place nick named the Motor city. So with that in mind, we now take a look ahead to some of the biggest vehicles that are all set to grace us with their presence from week at the show.
We have three manufacturers covered here today and the first who are expected to make headlines with their alternatively fuelled NSX is Honda. The company are to bring their hybrid ran vehicle to the dance next week and will be looking to steal some thunder from the Toyota Mirai and ix35 from Hyundai. We have seen the NSX in the form of a concept quite a number of times but now following the reveal of a teaser image, we know that the Japanese company are bringing their A game with the full production version into Detroit. A hybrid power train carrying a V6 engine is confirmed for the i8 rival and it will go on sale this coming Summer time on European ground carrying a cost entering six figures of around the £100,000 area.
Mini to conquer in a large way
Ironically Mini are to make a large impact in Detroit by introducing their all new,two litre engine equipped John Cooper Works model. The car has been revealed at events in the past in its pre production phase but the now full production model looks to embrace the car industry with its arrival. Expected to launch early on into the course of this year and produce enough power to combat with companies such as Volkswagen and Ford, the new JCW receives some fine tuning delivering on more power, unique ability as far as driving and handling is concerned and looks to claim the hot hatch segment as its own.
The extravagant Audi Q7
It is only fitting that we include one of the most spoken about vehicles of the 2014 year and the car is still making headlines into the new year. Audi are to bring with them the full production version of their new Q7 for the 2015 market. The new addition to the Q range has been spotted on numerous occasions in disguise and most recently in its full form. It is safe to say that the new model has had Audi fans talking and coming up this year, we look forward to more driving. This seven seater looking to go head to head with some of the biggest and best estate models in town will be equipped to the masses with items such as eight cylinder engines at the top spec form and carrying a three litre capacity. A hybrid version of the car is also set to join the line up as Volvo prepare to lock horns with other hybrids such as the hotly anticipated arrival of the Volvo xc60 luxury SUV in hybrid disguise.
