Volvo reveal information on the all new XC90 model


In some exciting news today regarding the well known car brand Volvo, we are pleased to report that the mass manufacturer has officially confirmed details on the brand new XC90 model which is expected to arrive on European markets from April in next year. The vehicle will come in the form of an SUV that will be fully fitted with seven seats.

 

The Swedish manufacturer behind the car are looking to rival other big selling SUV models currently on the market which have helped to revive the SUV market such as the Juke and the Qashqai models from Nissan. The XC90 looks to be a turning point for the Volvo company as the brands president and chief Hakan Samuelsson has stated that “This is one of the most important days in our history, we are not just launching a car but relaunching our brand” . “Today marks a new era for our company. The XC90 paves the way for a portfolio of exciting new cars to come over the next few years”. Gadgets,power and safety is a big focus for the companies new SUV model and could prove to be one of the must own SUV vehicles available to customers around the world.

 

What can you expect the Volvo XC90 to deliver?

 

It has been confirmed that the car will also benefit from a plug in hybrid version keeping up to date with some other manufacturers from around the world who offer such models such as the Toyota brand and Skoda. New engine ranges will go on sale with the car which will consist of both petrol and diesel variants. Every engine in the line up will be a 2.0 litre four cylinder. From the time of launch, each model to go on sale will be an all wheel drive variant with the arrival of a front wheel drive to arrive in September of 2015.

 

A T6 petrol engine will be offered with the XC90 which will develop on 316bhp. A 222bhp diesel engine will also come as an alternative. The T6 variant will be both super charged and turbo charged and both the petrol and diesel will come fully fitted with an eight speed,automatic transmission system as part of the package. The brand owners have also stated that the interior that will come along with the car will also be one of the most luxurious ever offered in a Volvo vehicle.

 

When the XC90 is officially launched onto our streets next April it will come along with some nice additional features that could very well prove to be some great all round selling points. It has been confirmed that some of these features will consist of 21 inch polished wheels,front and rear skid plates,integrated exhausts and an all new set of front Deco frames.

 

What will the Volvo XC90 sell for next April ?

 

Well firstly the Volvo XC90 will become available to order from October of this year with the first set of deliveries occurring from April of next year. In regards to the price tag that will come along with the car, nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet but it is expected that prices for the brand new XC90 will go on sale from around £45,000.
