Nissan and Ford January sales-Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo at Geneva

A lot of car manufacturers have had a very good start to the 2015 year by achieving some great all round sales figures for the very first month of the year. This is proving to be no different for Japanese firm Nissan who have revealed their sales statistics for the same month over the course of the weekend. A total of 57,332 units have been sold by the Nissan brand for the first month of the year which means that compared to January in 2014,this sees a sales percentage of improvement of 4.1 percent. The top three selling cars across countries such as Germany, Russia and Italy were the Qashqai,Juke and the ever popular Micra. The Qashqai was the big seller of course as it made up for 19,985 of the 57,332 units sold. This is a great start for the brand who will be looking to keep the momentum that they achieved sales wise in 2014 and it could be a good sign for the rest of the year to come.

Ford sales go up for January

In a similar story today, American motor maker Ford have also revealed their new sales statistics for the very first month of the year which also sees an improvement compared to the previous year. For January alone on the European market, sales of 88,700 units have been reported for the Ford brand. The two biggest selling vehicles for the company have been reported to be both the Focus and the Mondeo range. In an even bigger percentage rise compared to Nissan, Ford have recorded sales increases of 9.8 percent compared to January of 2014. Thanks to the sheer amount of sales and the climb that the company have seen on a year on year basis, this makes Ford the number two best selling company across the whole of Europe and also cements the firm hold that they have on vehicle sales in the United Kingdom also.

The Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo revealed

Skoda have made the headlines over the duration of the past seven days by revealing their brand new Superb model which will make its grand debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Over the weekend though, the firm based in the Czech Republic have given us something else to talk about. The brand have officially revealed their brand new Monte Carlo addition of the Fabia which will also go on display in Geneva next week. We see changes made to the exterior body design, interior cabin and other accessories thanks to the new Monte Carlo package. So beginning with a view of the outside of the car,we see that both sixteen and seventeen inch alloy wheels are brought into play and now come in a new Black paint scheme. Both the tailights and headlights have also been redesigned compared to the standard hatchback.

Speaking of the hatchback, it is this version of the car that receives the big changes but the new Monte Carlo package can also be added to the Estate version of the car also. Sports is very much the theme inside of the car as demonstrated by a new leather steering wheel and the additions of sports style seating that now also come into play. No prices have been announced for the range as of yet or even a launch time for the car but we will learn more from the Geneva Motor Show at the cars grand reveal next week.
