A lot of car manufacturers have had a very good start to the 2015 year by achieving some great all round sales figures for the very first month of the year. This is proving to be no different for Japanese firm Nissan who have revealed their sales statistics for the same month over the course of the weekend. A total of 57,332 units have been sold by the Nissan brand for the first month of the year which means that compared to January in 2014,this sees a sales percentage of improvement of 4.1 percent. The top three selling cars across countries such as Germany, Russia and Italy were the Qashqai,Juke and the ever popular Micra. The Qashqai was the big seller of course as it made up for 19,985 of the 57,332 units sold. This is a great start for the brand who will be looking to keep the momentum that they achieved sales wise in 2014 and it could be a good sign for the rest of the year to come.
Ford sales go up for January
In a similar story today, American motor maker Ford have also revealed their new sales statistics for the very first month of the year which also sees an improvement compared to the previous year. For January alone on the European market, sales of 88,700 units have been reported for the Ford brand. The two biggest selling vehicles for the company have been reported to be both the Focus and the Mondeo range. In an even bigger percentage rise compared to Nissan, Ford have recorded sales increases of 9.8 percent compared to January of 2014. Thanks to the sheer amount of sales and the climb that the company have seen on a year on year basis, this makes Ford the number two best selling company across the whole of Europe and also cements the firm hold that they have on vehicle sales in the United Kingdom also.
