The new Jaguar XF due next year

British car firm Jaguar have been making the headlines over the past number of months and today the company are making them again by announcing some of the brand new details that will come along with the arrival of their brand new XF model set to go on sale next year. The vehicle is expected to be officially revealed to the general public and media alike from next year around the March/April time with an on sale date expected for Summer.

It was in 2007 that the first XF was produced and many variations have followed in its path over the years with one of the latest coming just last year in the form of the XFR-Sportbrake. Now though are Jaguar to break new ground with this brand new addition to their line up?. The vehicle will receive a new engine range along with some brand new technology.

What power sources and technology will find a place in the new XF?

So firstly regarding the brand new engine range that will come along with the car from next year, it is believed that the XF 2015 may benefit from a two litre, turbo diesel engine. Two power outputs are believed to be put out from different versions of the engine with the first coming in at 161 and your alternative at 178bhp. A new two litre, four cylinder petrol unit is also expected but has not been confirmed as of yet.

Expect to see Jaguars new ingenium engine range come into play with the XF too. If you are a private buyer for the new XF though you can expect a little treat. Jaguar have confirmed that private buyers will receive a three litre,V6 diesel engine and will produce around 600 units of brake horse power.

Image have also been revealed of the car which show the design form in which the car has taken. The front grille on the car has been revised as has the front bumper. Over seventy five percent of the body work is made from aluminium which means that the car drops a lot of weight compared to the previous XF.

This will mean that handling has been improved for the vehicle and this can be demonstrated also by the tweaks made to the electronic steering. A new double wishbone front suspension system from the F Type can also be found. A vast number of trims have been confirmed to come along with the XF but added features and equipment are yet to be revealed.

The future of the Jaguar XF 2015

Summer is the intended launch time for the car next year but as of yet there is no word on how much the vehicle will go on sale for. Expect to hear more on prices for the vehicle and trim levels from next year.
