Volvo XC60 giveaway-Kia Concept-Mercedes SUV development
The news has broken over the past hour that Mercedes from this coming Summer time are being given the chance to focus a lot more time on their current and forthcoming range of SUV cars. In order to do this, the German brand had to spare up a lot of time in order to focus on the segment and this has been announced to have been done successfully today. The US manufacturer AM General have announced that from this coming Summer,they are to take over the production of Mercedes R Class models. They will therefore have more time to focus their attention on forthcoming SUV vehicles such as the new GLE. These new models are to be produced over in the United States aswell as the M Class line up.
An all new Kia concept aimed at Chicago this year
An all new Kia concept vehicle is in the pipeline and is expected to be revealed this year at the Chicago Auto Show. Virtually next to nothing is currently known about the vehicle but Korean firm Kia have said that the design structure of the vehicle will be based on one of their popular selling vehicles on the road right now. There is no word on which car this may be with the likes of the Rio, Ceed and Optima all being taken into consideration. The big news though has been confirmed by Kia who have revealed that the name of the car will be revealed tomorrow and an official teaser image of the vehicle will also be revealed to the world at the same time. It is very much a mystery right now as to what we can expect from this new Kia concept and whether it will go into production and on sale in the future but the brand are just taking things one step at a time. Volvo to give away five XC60 models
Over in America, the Super bowl is one of the countries biggest sporting events to take place on an annual basis. It has been an event which over the past number of years has become popular for special advertisements aired during half time from anything from movies, video games and of course our personal favourite cars. This year Volvo will be on hand at the event but not to air a new advertisement. The company have revealed that during the half time show this year, they will be giving away a total of five brand new XC60 models to the public. Fans will be shown on the big screen a number of people who have entered into the competition and the Super bowl crowd will be able to vote via Twitter on who they think is most deserving of winning the prize. The XC60 will be available to drive away from showrooms both in the United States and here in the UK aswell as other countries around the world from April.
